American State Bank of Pierre Donates $3,000 for Flood Relief

PIERRE, SD (August 18, 2011) - American State Bank of Pierre recently donated $3,000 to the Oahe Flood Relief. They recognize this is a difficult time and want to help families and businesses affected by this disaster. The proceeds go toward the Long Term Recovery Needs Fund. This fund helps with rebuilding assistance such as construction materials and repairs.

The contributions given for this Long-Term Recovery Needs Fund will be used to match other possible available national funds. The recovery team will be looking to national, regional and local funding sources to help provide relief and restoration throughout the Pierre / Fort Pierre area.

Commenting on the flood recovery, American State Bank President Bill Fischer said:

“This has been a trying time for many directly affected by the flood. We recognize this and are in it along with our customers and friends. We will continue partnering with our customers assisting them with their banking needs through the disaster recovery.”
